Trina Solar Japan Energy Secures 4,374 kWac in Japan’s 21st Solar FiP Tender

Trina Solar Japan Energy (‘TSJE’), the Japan regional team of the Trinasolar ISBU (International System Business Unit) has achieved a significant milestone with its successful bid in the 21st round of solar Feed-in-Premium (FiP) tenders, as announced by the Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators (OCCTO) on August 23, 2024. In this latest round, Trina Solar Japan Energy, along with Trina Solar, secured all four of its proposed projects, totaling 4,374 kWac.

Totaling of 22 projects were awarded, with a combined output of 33,671 kW. The lowest awarded price was 5.00 JPY/kWh, while the weighted average price was 8.08 JPY/kWh, and the highest awarded price reached 9.13 JPY/kWh.

This success underscores TSJE’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and enhancing the stability of energy supply for local communities.
